First let me say I am eagerly anticipating listening to this. The presentation of your project, artwork, and information is very professional...... Okay onto the good stuff.

China Rewind - Love how the beat and everything comes at you all at once. Man this is a gem. Percussion, beat, note arrangement is fantastic. Extremely chilled and even a tad relaxing.


Feelings - Wow what sample is that you used? Acoustic guitar section? It's great. Very catchy, nice vibe to it.


Joe Rock (Original) - Oh a Rock sound, a bit dark... Damn. I haven't heard anything quite like this in all of the hundreds of MTVMG tracks I've heard over the past 3 years.


Power (RMX) - Bit grungy, dirty... A little bit dark. Good kick to it.


Xenogears (PS1 Cover) - Ah like the intro voice sample. Oh yeah love that melody at :30. Nice percussion/drum work on this one.


The Death of Optimus Prime - Oh yeah this is VERY good. So damn catchy, with a monster beat behind it. Liking the bit of classical tone thrown in with the Arco Strings? I think. :53 that's phenomenal. Excellent fading of the arps. Might be my favorite this or China Rewind.

Well this was a great collection you've put together here. For PS1 this is about as good as it gets for beats. I would say with great respect that yourself and Master Dutch are exceptional at this style of music. Criticism? No, not really. I would say that I'd love to hear your work one day with a professional program such as FL STUDIO, ABLETON LIVE, CUBASE, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this and thanks for posting it.

Thanx man. I'm an MPC60 (lol) kinda guy. I just figured out how to use PAINT.NET and thats my first attempt at a cover. Not too shabby i guess. So saying i put up pro level work is awesome. You got great sound too by the way. I'm starting the artwork for vol#2. And i'm amped to show you guys what i got!

1) This shit sounds like it could've been an unreleased soundtrack CD for Samurai Champloo, it is that fucking good.
2) I may as well just give up now because i am crap when comapred to this (well, crap overall, really XD), IT IS THAT FUCKING GOOD.

Seriously, Joe, my hat is OFF to you, man. 'China Rewind', 'Power (ReMix)', and 'Xenogears (PS1 Cover)' were my favorites.
Now, if you'll exscuse me, i have to go nod my head to your amazing tracks~

Hahaha, i thought you might be a fan of Champloo's music. I loved the soundtracks enough to check out more works from the artists on it, so i've got a few albums by Midicronica, Nujabes, Fat Jon, Force of Nature, and Tsutchie, haha!

Oh i know. I had no intentions of actually giving up. XD;; I was speaking figuritivly. (It may also have been a case of my total lack of self-confidence showing through.)

Checking out CHINA REWIND.
Gorgeous beats - solid, succulent and funky. Makes me want to indulge in it over and over.

I love the warm melody/ies. It all works very well together in a continuous loop of smooth colourful magic. The occasional reverse guitar is just divine. I almost hadn't noticed that lovely bassline drifting behind because it carries SO SO SO calmly.

(checking out FEELINGS) = OMG BEAUTIFUL GUITAR!!!!!! That is phenomenally beautiful!!! Lovely melody you've written for it...very...bittersweet...and the production is gorgeous!! So subtle, gentle, with a wonderful reverb! Best guitar result I've heard come out of MUSIC. Lovely bouncy bass line too.
