As you might have noticed, in the past 8 months, I have been quite inactive in checking people songs and I've been posting less and less often on the website. I've been making fewer and fewer tunes ever since, too. This used to be mostly because I was busy and I had
another website to manage. However, since about 4 months, especially the last 2, this is no longer the only reason why.
4 months ago, fights, one of which was accidentally started by me, started hurting the community and it has been overhelming to try to solve them. They would always be recursive events. Fortunately, they stopped for a while after taking action. However, 2 months later they started occuring again. All fights always involved the same person starting fights against another member and another person keeping dissing how the site is ran and its layout. These two people were banned, the former for keeping starting fights and the later for trolling. One of our staff and a member, who was judged as somewhat rude in certain of his comments in response to the last fight starter, were also given a warning so fights can be handled in a more civilized manner (preferably, by simply deleting the offender's posts, banning them after repeated offense or locking down the topic).
These repeated offenses in response to comments from this same staff and members taken the wrong way, false accusations against me and certain of my members, all the destructive comments toward my job as forum webmaster and the entire site as a whole and the constant negativity have caused me to nearly completly lose interest in music making over time. Then the site database crashed, another incident that made me lose interest even more after I was unable to restore the site myself. I then decided to take a break from the whole music thing until the site returns.
However, when the site was close to returning, false accusations came toward me from certain members and with how events are turning out, it is becoming clear that I do no longer deserve my administrator power at TIMGUL and that I do not deserve to exist as a member here anymore. Because of this, I am hereby retiring from my TIMGUL administrator position and will no longer contribute to the community. If everything I do and every decisions I take are going to be criticised destructively everytime, like it has been often through the past 4 months, I do not see why I should contribute anymore. It doesn't seems like I and my staff am allowed to run the site as I wish anymore either. Our right to provide whatever discussion and showcase environment we want and decide if we want to ban for deliberately starting fights and trolling seems to have been completly removed by certain members as well. We keep being accused of not accepting people for their differences. Had this been the case, I would have been gone from the site and hated by several other members a LONG time ago. I have similar issues as Casper, such as being very sensitive and taking comments the wrong way and in addition to that, I become very negative when shit piles up. If our users, the main one being targetted being Quade, were really discriminatory against specific users, then I would certainly not be welcome here anymore or he would have left. Our users were simply tired of the constant fights.
However, now one of our banned user is trying to tarnish TIMGUL reputation with slanderous videos, something he did before, while sending hate mail to me on SYM website and to JCW, forcing me to disable the PM system on my account on ShowcaseYourMusic and threaten legal action. I am tired of this shit and this was the final straw. Audioghost and Bass Launch wants TIMGUL to either: 1) be ran as they wish, as if they were owners or 2) close completly and die
The later will not happen. However, I am gone. So goodbye everyone and thanks for your contributions to the website. I do hope you guys get recognition for what you do regardless of the software you use or get far in the music industry. I do also wish the best of luck to our recently added administrator, JCW, the most active moderator of all and our three other moderators, PillagemyVillage, Quade77 and Fear 2 Stop. I am sorry it had to go this way, but I cannot take it anymore and I feel that I am wasting my time here. If it's going to hurt me more to admin this website and community, I better move on to other stuff.
I am also planning to change my MSN and Yahoo addresses to private ones, so the current ones will remain public as long as I use them, but I might be active less and less often on them. This is to prevent possible harrassment from certain users. The only other way to contact me will be at
